Crasso cum septima legione misso, in ditionem populi Romani tedactos esse: et l. 7. c. 75. ubi illos 6000. atmata in bellum contulisse scribit. Eorum, ut et Venetorum regiones a Britannis, Anglorum Saxonumque potentiam fugientibus occupatam esse, A. C. 786. refert Eginhardus, in Annal. Hinc Cornubia a situ, et quasi Cornu Galtiae: Cornavaille civitas eorum dicitur, teste Marlianô, in Britanniae Ducatu. Baudrando tractus horum, Cornubia recenti nomine, vulgo Cornovaille, dicitur, urbs Corisopitum, vulgo Kemper Britann. Gallis Quimper Corentin, i. e. civitas Corentini, ab Episcopo quondam suo et patrono: Caput inferioris Britanniae versus oram. Sedet inter Gobaeum promontor. ad Boream, et Venetos ad Ortum.
